Hi! I'm Marr and I'm an actress and writer based in Dallas, Texas.

I wasn't always one, though.

When I tell you that my head was up in the clouds, I was way up there (I mean- still is most days). Imagination would just run and run and run and- yeah, you get it.

I put my writing on pause when I graduated high school and left for college to pursue a bachelor's degree in biology at the University of North Texas. Upon graduating and transitioning from dentistry and my position as a dental assistant, I decided it was the right time to rekindle my love for writing.

I went into social media marketing as an "influencer" (not my favorite word) and did ambassador work for quite some time. Constant exposure to different people and communities inspired me to pursue modeling and learn more about photography and media. After a while, I felt that it was taking me in a direction I didn't really feel like I was being called to do. Another chapter came to a close and my search for new adventures began again.

Finding purpose is important for me and it had been months of silently searching. One day, while modeling, someone had recommended taking acting classes. You know that feeling where you snap out of a trance- that feeling. Something captured me. I immediately began my search for an acting coach in my area and I'm now actively pursuing acting in film and television. There's been a lot of laughs, a lot of 'no's', a lot of miles, and a lot of learning since. My life has been fuller than it was before - in a different way.

Anyways, I'm going to be corny now and end with one of my favorite quotes from Stephen Chbosky's The Perks of Being a Wallflower because it is the first thing that comes to mind when I think about what it feels like when I enter story.

"I can see it. This one moment when you know you're not a sad story. You are alive. And as you stand up and see the light on buildings and everything that makes you wonder. And you are listening to that song on that drive with the people you love most in this world. And in this moment, I swear... we are infinite." - Charlie
